FDA hosting a hearing on cannabis, May 31st

The hearing will be may 31st and will discuss “scientific data and information about the safety, manufacturing, product quality, marketing, labeling, and sale of products containing cannabis or cannabis-derived compounds”.

This is a great step forward, just be careful not to claim your CBD products have any efficacy in the meantime. I’m curious what others’ opinions on this type of government action is? Do we think the FDA needs a completely new approach/system to deal with cannabis products? Or should they run it through their current mode of operation? Cannabis products are different from traditional food/drug products, afterall.
