Food issues in NY

Hi all! I wanted to share what happened to me recently with a client in NY. New York has basically banned CBD in food. I sent a client a tincture and was held by the carrier due to it being a “food” substance. I was able to work around the issue by showing this item was not a food but a supplement. The CLient was super excited to get their product but I wanted to touch base and ask if anyone else has had this issue and how it was solved.

Which carrier did you use to ship the tincture? I wonder if certain carriers have varying degrees of checking and monitoring packages. I haven’t heard of any food seizures yet, this is a first. Not surprising, I gotta say

We used no carrier oil as this was a nano product. I was contacted about it being used internally and if so was it an ingredient or food. I said ingredient so it was fine.
