Hemp Farmers in SD or anybody, what do you think about Kristi Noem’s reversal on her decision? What will the first steps to hemp farming in SD look like in 2020?
After any bill is passed the USDA still has to receive a regulatory proposal from the S.D.. Dept of Ag. Then after the Ag Dept submits the proposal, the USDA has 180 days to accept or deny it. So I don’t see how any hemp can be grown in the 2020 season. Plants would have to be started in the next month or 2 to be able to be planted this year.
