Scientists have uncovered the existence of two new cannabinoids in Cannabis sativa, THCP and CBDP. THCP is said to be much more potent than THC and can moderate things specifically such as weight loss, as it affects the bodies glucose level.

THCP has a much stronger “binding affinity” to our CB1 and CB2 receptors, while CBDP’s affinity is far weaker, which is why scientists are focusing primarily on THCP as it holds the most potential for medical use.

Hopefully we see some research soon on the presence of these cannabinoids in hemp, and how we can learn to grow hemp full of THCP.
